Default Black Dye in pre-searing

Is it just me or does black dye occur more in pre-searing? Of all the times I find it the most has been in pre-searing.

Only black dye I found was also from pre-searing too. Makes sense to... not that the black tar rivers in post could be a good source for black

I think dye drops more often in pre-searing.

I think drops must work something like 25% coin/25% collector item/30% standard item/15% blue item/5% rare block.

The 5% rare block would then random for a chance on purple/gold/dye/rare craft. Since I don't think golds or purple(might be wrong on purple) drop in pre-sear, and neither do rare crafting materials, the result from the rare block is always a dye.

That's just my own speculation based on my experience; I have no statistical data to back that up.

I've never seen gold items drop, but I've farmed the charr north of the wall and had dozens of purples. Most of them are runes, but you can't extract them without expert salvage.

Purple's are quite rare in pre-searing and from what I can tell, are only in the northlands with the charr. I have gotten a purple sword from up there before and some runes.

It does, but most beginners dont realise the value, sell for 1 gold or use it on the most pathetic armor.

I've gotten blacks both pre-searing and post, and in about the same interval <a couple months spread>. IT seems totally unrelated, but I noticed myself dyes are aplenty in pre-searing most places, and more so north-o-the-wall.

I have once found a black dye and it was in maguuma. But I have found 5 silver dyes in pre searing.
